Leak Detection

Leak detection can be a source of ongoing frustration for residents and can be an issue that causes extensive internal damage. Barwon Rope Access has staff with years of experience in caulking and leak detection, and as such we are confident, we can identify and rectify any water ingress before it causes damage.

Concrete Patching

Concrete maintenance and repair is fast becoming a large part of what we do. If we are not working with precast panel installers to touch up any defects on a new build, we are working on the waterfront rectifying concrete cancer.

“Concrete cancer is caused when the steel reinforcing within a concrete slab begins to rust. As the steel rusts it expands, displacing the concrete around it, causing it to become brittle and crack thus accelerating the process.”

If you notice any signs of concrete cancer you should address it immediately as, not only is there a likelihood of it spreading, but quite often it is the cause of loose concrete falling into common areas or worse still, into public areas.

Anchor Install

No anchors? No worries. Barwon Rope Access has qualified staff that can install temporary abseil anchors as a cost-efficient way of accessing a once off area. Or if you are looking for a more permanent solution, we can design a full rope access system that will allow for access to the most difficult places.

Façade Inspections

Buildings deteriorate over time and require regular maintenance. Barwon Rope Access can complete a thorough building inspection and provide clients with a comprehensive report inclusive of photos, recommendations and quotes.

Whilst a lot of builders will request a building inspection as a response to an issue, we recommend periodic inspections as a preventative measure, therefore saving money longer term. We are also seeing more demand from builders seeking building inspections completed before handover. This can provide the builder peace of mind and pick up on numerous defects that in time would go on to cause issues. By completing the building inspection early, it gives the builder the opportunity to address the issues or back charge the contractor.

Glazing

Barwon Rope Access has the knowledge and experience to assist with all your glazing needs. We have the equipment and the expertise to install all windows utilising winches, cranes or lifting trolleys and suction devices.

Our skilled workers can caulk any pre-installed glass or remove any damaged or defected glass. In the event that you don’t have the glass ready, don’t stress, we can make the area safe and seal it off using plywood or temporary glass.

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing can be effective in finishing off that new build, preparing façade for paint or bringing your existing building back to its former glory. Whilst people may assume pressure washing is a mindless or simple task, there is a lot of knowledge required in determining the correct PSI for the job in order to appropriately clean the area without damaging the surface.

Furthermore, incorrect use of a powerful pressure washer can leave you with distinct patches or stripes on your facade. Rest assured we have the experience and know how to ensure this does not happen and provide you with a finish you will be happy with.
